Glue the thermistor into the holder and pot it with 5 minute epoxy. When cured, twist the holder back into place and reinstall the mirror assembly. Now your outside air temperature will read correctly. Total time less than one hour. Cost just over one dollar and I'm ready to repair my OAT sensor nine more times.
Points. 0. Oct 27, 2013. #5. Your voltages all seem suspicious, with the engine running you should be seeing some 13.8 volts between positive and earth, engine off 12.4 to 12.8 some hours after engine was run or charger used. 12 volts shows a problem on the circuit and 8 volts disaster.

As per subject, I have an oil leak from what seems to be a sensor toward the bottom of the engine block, towards the driver side (UK), on the forward face of the engine block - next to the oil filter. I first assumed it is the oil pressure switch, but none of the parts I can find online seem to
On the 1.4 1370cc 12valve there are two water temperature sensors. The red arrow shows the sensor that gives a signal to the dashboard needle. It has a single pin connection and goes stright into the cylinder head. The blue arrow shows the ECU's temperature sensor that is fixed into the thermostat housing.
Good morning. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with the ext temp displayed on the dash. Mine is wildly optimistic. I was wanting to replace the temp sender unit but it seems as though I have to buy the whole mirror. Has anyone found an alternative way. Buying the temp
